The Baltic Sea Campus on eHealth is a new platform offered by the Institute for eHealth and Management in Healthcare (IEMG) at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. This platform once more underlines the focus of our institute in the Baltic Sea Region.
We started our work in the field of healthcare with a degree programme in Hospital Management in 1992. In 2007 we implemented a Master's Degree Programme eHealth, which was the first one in Germany. Today, this programme is a great success and well-known and respected throughout Germany.
We have been participating in a number of European projects, mainly in Interreg III and Interreg IV programmes. We are currently preparing applications for new projects as part of Interreg V.
Due to our membership in the eHealth for Regions Network (www.ehealthforregions.net) we have been very successful in running international projects. The Flensburg University of Applied Sciences joined the network in 2004. Since 2008 we have been running the network's management secretariat, which is an approved Associated Expert Group in the Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS; www.ndphs.org).
By calling the eHealth Innovation Days into life, we have established a new brand for the Baltic Sea Region. The eHealth Innovation Days offer unique opportunities for scientific exchange and knowledge dissemination, as well as networking, cooperation, and exhibition in the field of eHealth.
